Discover Scuba – For the curious

Enjoy your first impressions under water. We will accompany you and show you the most beautiful sides of the ocean. After a short introduction your instructor will take you onto your first dive into the bay.

The Discover Scuba Dive will take place in small groups (a maximum of 4 people per instructor). Minimum age for the Discover Scuba Dive is 8 years.

If you decided afterwards that you would like to do the course with us to get your Open Water Diver/Scuba Diver, we will deduct the price of the DSD from the course price. This only applies if you take the course within a year after the DSD.

Learn how to dive

You already know diving is right up your alley and you finally want to take the chance to get your diving certificate? You’ve come to the right place.

The certifications as Scuba Diver, CMAS* and Open Water Diver are valid all over the world, even though they have different names. Training includes excercises in the pool and open sea, as well as the necessary theoretical lessons about diving physiology, -technology and -physics. All teaching material and the certification fees are included in the course. All you have to do is decide.

To become a certified Scuba Diver it is necessary to take two training dives in the sea, for the other certifications four or five training dives (CMAS*) are obligatory. A certified Scuba Diver has to be accompanied by a Dive Professional at all times and is allowed to dive down to 12 m (“semi-autonomous diver”), whereas the other certifications allow to dive with any other certified diver. The allowed maximum depth varies a bit, depending on the diving organisation. At all times it is possible to upgrade from Scuba Diver to OWD/CMAS*.

SSI and PADI offer the possibility to study online before you take the course. All other organisations rely on face-to-face classes with the instructor. Whatever you prefer: It is our job to make you familiar with the most important techniques on how to be safe while exploring the new world underwater.

We like to be flexible with our time: We don’t have fixed days to start our courses. Just get in touch and we’ll decide together when you can start your journey.

Kids Courses

Out of health reasons the required minimum age for training with SCUBA equipment is 8 years. The little ones are trained by special kids instructors and we also offer kids equipment in small sizes. Playful, fun training in the pool as well as a first sneak peek into the theory of diving and the underwater world are part of the training.

Training levels are designed to match the abilities kids have at different ages. Also the maximum depth of diving varies between 3 – 12 m according to their age.

We offer trainings like Scuba Ranger (SSI), Bubblemaker (PADI) and Junior (Scuba) Diver (IAC/CMAS) for our young divers. These programs are suitable for children from the age of 8 and take place in the pool as well as in confined waters. From the age of 10 years on children can take the same training as adults, just with a limited depth.

Important: Safety and health of your kids are our first priority. Therefore a declaration of consent has to be signed by the parents for all underaged children.
